Hugo M D J Willis
computer aided design;
My name is Hugo Willis, I am currently working in the computer aided design course at the university of Winchester. I have always had a strong love and passion for working with anything 3D related, from Pottery to 3D CAD software and current 3D CAD and Fusion 360 is my current favourite, I enjoy creating 3D models down to the smallest details.
Year 2 - Group Project 2 - D.H.Lawrence Travel Trunk
This was my favourite project so far and it is one of the most detailed projects I have done so far. The Virtual Earth Museum who gave us this project are doing very interesting work with virtual reality. It was also one of the hardest and most interesting projects so far, because I got to take 2D images of D.H.Lawrence travel trunk provided as references and turn it into this 3D model.
Year 2 - RSA Project - Stair Assist Device
The Stair assist device was a idea for my RSA project and it was designed to be a cost efficient device for elderly people going up and down their stairs and to also keep the user at a safe angle minimising the risk of falling and assist them further with a built in motor on tacks slowly pulling the user up and down their stairs.
Year 2 - Group Project 1 - Virtural Winchester
The virtual Winchester was my first group project of the second year and I worked with a handful of different people from different areas of my course and we all picked a old house in Winchester and created a 3D replica using the style of house from the time period when Jane Austin was living in Winchester.
